European Parliament calls for permanent ban on facial recognition in public spaces

06/10/2021 (Agence Europe)The European Parliament approved by 377 votes to 248 with 62 abstentions the report by Petar Vitanov (S&D, Bulgaria) on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) by police and judicial authorities in criminal matters (see EUROPE B12805A20).
