Covid-19, green light for €2.5 billion Italian scheme to support self-employed and healthcare professionals

The European Commission approved, on Wednesday 14 July, a €2.5 billion Italian support scheme to help self-employed workers and certain healthcare professionals in the context of the coronavirus outbreak, by partially exempting them from social security contributions.

The scheme was approved under the Commission’s Temporary Framework for State Aid measures in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
