Brussels, 12/07/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 12 July, the Foreign Affairs Council of the EU definitively adopted the Interinstitutional Agreement reached on the Public Sector Loan Facility (see EUROPE 12706/3). This is the third pillar of the Just Transition Mechanism, the other two being the Just Transition Fund and the transition programme underInvestEU. The Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, welcomed this, underlining the need for public investment to meet the costs of transition and to achieve climate targets. (PH)
