BusinessEurope calls on European Commission to drop its digital levy proposal for now

08/07/2021 (Agence Europe) – BusinessEurope sent a letter to the President of the European Commission on 7 July asking her to drop, for the time being, her proposal for a digital levy, which is expected to be presented on 20 July. “In light of the recent progress at the OECD Inclusive Framework, and considering that senior MEPs have asked the Commission to drop the proposal, we also urge you to think carefully about the consequences of bringing it forward at this critical juncture”,...
