MEPs adopt resolution condemning Hungary’s discriminatory LGBTI law

08/07/2021 (Agence Europe) – A large majority of MEPs backed a resolution condemning Hungary’s discriminatory law against LGBTI people (see EUROPE B12748A1) on Thursday 8 July. 459 MEPs voted in favour and 147—mainly from the ID and ECR groups—voted against. 58 abstained: among them, a majority of EPP, Bulgarian, Romanian, Croatian, French, Spanish, and Italian MEPs. In this resolution, Parliament calls for the launch of an accelerated infringement proceeding against Hungary....
