30/06/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Wednesday 30 June the mobilisation of €119 million from the EU Solidarity Fund for France, Greece and Croatia to support them following several natural disasters in 2020. €53.3 million will go to the French region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur in the wake of storm Alex in October 2020. €24.6 million will go to Greece for recovery from the Mediterranean cyclone Ianos in September 2020, the floods in August 2020 and the earthquake in October 2020. €41 million will go to Croatia following a series of earthquakes in Sisak-Moslavina county and parts of Karlovac and Zagreb counties in December 2020 and January 2021.
