Elisabetta Siracusa appointed Senior Advisor to DG FISMA

30/06/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 30 June, the European Commission appointed Elisabetta Siracusa as Senior Adviser in the Directorate General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA). Currently Head of Unit on posting at the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI), Ms Siracusa’s responsibilities will include advising the Director General, John Berrigan, on sustainable finance issues. Previously, she was deputy head of cabinet to EU Agriculture Commissioner Phil Hogan from 2014 to 2019, and from 2019 to 2020 when he was EU Trade Commissioner. During her career, Ms Siracusa has also headed various units in DG AGRI. (MF)
