Brexit adjustment reserve, European Parliament ready to negotiate with EU Council

The European Parliament adopted its position on the Brexit adjustment reserve without a vote on Wednesday 9 June. This opens the inter-institutional negotiations with the Council of the EU, which recently adopted its position (see EUROPE B12709A23).

The first technical discussions should start on Wednesday 9 June. The objective of the European Parliament is to find an agreement at the first interinstitutional meeting (trilogue) on 17 June, as Younous Omarjee (The Left, France) indicated...
