Referral to EU Court of Justice against Poland for non-compliance with public procurement rules

09/06/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Wednesday 9 June that it is referring Poland to the EU Court of Justice over its incorrect implementation of the public procurement directives (2014/24/EU, 2014/25/EU and 2014/23/EU). While the EU’s public procurement directives provide for certain derogations for the award of contracts without tendering, the European guardian of the Treaties considers that these do not apply to the broad categories of contracts exempted...
