02/06/2021 (Agence Europe) – Eurospace, which represents major players in the European space sector, issued a statement on Tuesday 1 June requesting that the European Commission consider specific provisions and the “key role” played by space products as part of the consultation on the future revision of the REACH regulation governing chemical products. Eurospace noted that the list of changes envisaged for REACH affects all the main processes specific to the space sector, and that these are sometimes of critical interest to the sector. The organisation also notes their “serious concerns” about regulatory predictability.
