European Parliament calls for renewed EU commitment to step up global fight against AIDS

Ahead of the UN High-Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS (8-10 June), the European Parliament calls for a strong EU contribution to stepping up progress and fighting against inequalities to end the public health threat of AIDS by 2030.

The resolution was adopted on Thursday 20 May, by a large majority (468 in favour, 63 against, 162 abstentions) (see EUROPE B12722A13).
