17/05/2021 (Agence Europe) – The Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament’s political groups (CoP) decided on Wednesday 2 May on the distribution by political group of the 108 seats allocated to the European Parliament in the plenary assembly of the Conference on the Future of Europe (see EUROPE 12716/1). The distribution will be as follows: 28 delegates for the EPP group, 23 for S&D, 15 for Renew Europe, 11 for Identity and Democracy, 11 for Greens/EFA, 9 for ECR, 6 for The Left and 5 for the non-attached Members. Members of the Conference Executive Committee are included in the quotas of their respective groups. It is suggested that the political groups respect gender equality, as well as taking into account age and geographical distribution when forming their delegations. The CoP will decide on the nominal list of the European Parliament delegation on Thursday 20 May. (MB)
