17/05/2021 (Agence Europe) – The EU ambassador to Libya, Jose Sabadell, announced on Monday 17 May, the reopening as of that day, of the EU delegation in Tripoli (see EUROPE 12692/2). “Huge progress. We will be able to work more directly and effectively with the Libyan authorities, civil society and partners”, stressed the ambassador on Twitter. He said he was “very excited” to be there with his team on a permanent basis and is looking forward to this new phase. Due to the security situation, the delegation was relocated to Tunis (Tunisia) in 2014. (CG)
