European Commission launches consultation to assess effectiveness of ‘INSPIRE’ Directive

20/04/2021 (Agence Europe) – A public consultation on the ‘INSPIRE’ Directive (2007/2/EC) on access to and the interoperability of Spatial Information launched by the European Commission on 19 April is open until 12 July. The Commission is required to evaluate, in 2022, the effectiveness, relevance and added value of this directive, which established an online portal for European public authorities to share geospatial environmental data.
