Viktor Orbán, Matteo Salvini, and Mateusz Morawiecki to hold talks on creating a new European political alliance

30/03/2021 (Agence Europe) – The AFP reported that the Hungarian and Polish prime ministers will meet with the leader of Italy’s La Lega, Matteo Salvini, on Thursday, 1 April, to discuss forming a European political alliance. The discussions among Viktor Orbán, Matteo Salvini, and Mateusz Morawiecki will take place in Budapest and will focus on creating an alliance among Fidesz, the Law and Justice party (PiS) in Poland, and La Lega. Fidesz left the European People’s Party as well as its group in the European Parliament in March (see EUROPE 12681/16 and 12670/2). Since then, Fidesz MEPs have numbered among the non-attached members. (SP)
