18/03/2021 (Agence Europe) – As committed to in its EU Anti-Racism Action Plan presented last September (see EUROPE 12563/2), the European Commission will hold, on Friday 19 March, a European Anti-Racism Summit. An initiative implemented together with the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament’s Anti-Racism and Diversity Intergroup. The stated objective is to invite stakeholders to identify the means to be implemented in priority “to eradicate racism in all its forms”. The event will be attended by the Commissioner for Equality, Helena Dalli, the Vice-President of the Commission for Values and Transparency, Věra Jourová, and the Director of the European Agency for Fundamental Rights, Michael O’Flaherty.
