EU Council close to reaching political agreement on confidentiality of communications

After four long years of discussions, the Council of the European Union could finally define its position on the draft regulation on the confidentiality of electronic communications. At its meeting on 10 February, the Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper) will be invited to support the draft compromise prepared by the Portuguese Presidency of the EU Council (see EUROPE B12630A12).
