EU to contribute nearly €7 million to cost of new European supercomputer in Portugal

05/02/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC see EUROPE B12106A26) announced on Friday 5 February that a €20 million contract had been signed to finance a new European supercomputer. The EU will contribute €7 million to this. Called Deucalion, this supercomputer will be hosted in the Advanced Computing Centre in Minho, Portugal.
