European Commission promises “concrete recommendations” against female genital mutilation

05/02/2021 (Agence Europe) – The future EU strategy on the rights of the child will contain new recommendations to prevent and stop female genital mutilation (FGM), five members of the European College of Commissioners, including the Vice-President for Values and Transparency, Vĕra Jourová, and the Commissioner for Equality, Helena Dalli, said in a joint statement on Friday 5 February.
