04/02/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Thursday 4 February that it would support 19 training and mentoring programmes for researchers at doctoral level and 24 at post-doctoral level through its Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Programme. A total of €100 million will be invested over 5 years in the initiative, which is expected to benefit nearly 1,200 scientists in 11 EU countries and three associated countries, says the Commission. Spain, France and Ireland have the largest number of selected programmes. The research of the scientists involved covers subjects such as health, information technology, energy, rural development and prehistory. They will therefore benefit from the latest MSCA-COFUND call under the EU Horizon 2020 framework programme. (AC)
