29/01/2021 (Agence Europe) – On 26 January, the European Commission, in partnership with the European Investment Fund (EIF), announced €45 million in BlueInvest funding for projects that focus on the blue economy across the EU. At the BlueInvest Day conference in Brussels, Alain Godard, the Chief Executive of the EIF, and Virginijus Sinkevičius, the European Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries, confirmed investments in Astanor Ventures and Blue Horizon Ventures I. The BlueInvest initiative, which is managed by the EIF, provides equity funding to support innovation in the blue economy.
