According to a draft letter addressed to the European Ombudsman and seen by EUROPE, the Council of the EU believes that it cannot be held responsible for the actions of the Selection Panel for the European Public Prosecutor’s Office and that any alleged maladministration involving the Panel cannot be laid at its door.
