EU legislation on bank deposit protection subject to consultation until end of April

26/01/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 26 January, the European Commission launched a public consultation focusing on the EU regulatory framework (‘BRRD’ and ‘DGSD’ Directives, ‘SRMR’ Regulation) for bank deposit protection, which currently pertains to 100,000 euros per credit institution.
