Services trade struggles to recover globally due to Covid-19

26/01/2021 (Agence Europe) – Preliminary estimates from the World Trade Organisation (WTO) suggest that services trade was still 16% below the 2019 level in November, according to the latest statistics released by the organisation on Tuesday 26 January. This confirms the fact that services trade services were harder hit by the pandemic than goods trade, which recovered more strongly in the third quarter.
