European Parliament approves measures to ensure that road and air connections are maintained in event of no-deal Brexit

MEPs approved by 680 votes to 3 with 4 abstentions on Friday 18 December the emergency package of measures presented by the Commission to ensure that air safety is maintained and to avoid an abrupt interruption of road and air traffic between the EU and the UK (see EUROPE B12620A6) if no agreement on the post-Brexit relationship is reached before 1 January 2021.

These measures are the same as those approved a few days ago by the Member States (see EUROPE B12624A22).
