16/12/2020 (Agence Europe) – Helga Schmid, Secretary General of the European External Action Service and Chair of the Joint Commission for the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA), announced on Wednesday 16 December, following a videoconference of the JCPOA, that a meeting at ministerial level would be held on 21 December. The participants - France, Germany, the United Kingdom, China, Russia and Iran - “ agreed to hold an informal ministerial meeting of JCPOA participants on 21 December in virtual format”, she said in a statement. At their meeting, the participants also discussed ongoing work to preserve the Iranian nuclear agreement and how to ensure the full and effective implementation of the agreement by all parties in the light of existing challenges, according to the Presidency communiqué.
