WTO postpones appointment of its new Director-General

06/11/2020 (Agence Europe) – The World Trade Organization (WTO) is postponing the meeting of the General Council on Monday 9 November, at which time members were to officially appoint the new Director-General, the organisation announced on Friday 6 November. The favourite candidate supported by all members except the United States is Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala of Nigeria (see EUROPE B12594A23).
