Tilly Metz elected Chair of European Parliament Animal Transport Inquiry Committee

23/09/2020 (Agence Europe) – The Animal Transport Inquiry Committee elected its Bureau on Wednesday 23 September, consisting of a Chair and four Vice-chairs, for a one-year term of office. The Bureau is composed of its Chair Tilly Metz (Greens/EFA, Luxembourg), elected with 22 votes out of 29 (7 votes for ID Group German Sylvia Limmer), First Vice-Chair Marlene Mortler (EPP, Germany), Second Vice-Chair Anja Hazekamp (GUE/NGL, Netherlands), Third Vice-Chair Mohammed Chahim (S&D, Netherlands) and Fourth Vice-Chair Martin Hojsík (Renew Europe, Slovakia). The first ordinary meeting of the newly constituted Animal Transport Inquiry Committee could take place as soon as 15 October. (LC)
