President Koen Lenaerts reappointed as judge until 2027

The ambassadors of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper II) reappointed the current President of the Court of Justice of the EU, Koen Lenaerts, who has been in office since 2015, as judge on Wednesday 2 September for the period from 7 October 2021 to 6 October 2027.

Following the departure of the United Kingdom from the EU, Athanasios Rantos of Greece was appointed Advocate-General from 7 September 2020 to 6 October 2021.
