03/08/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Monday 3 August the approval of the redirection of cohesion policy funds in Denmark and a Hungarian-Slovak Interreg programme to allocate additional resources to deal with the consequences of Covid-19. In Denmark, the amendment approved under the ‘Innovation and Sustainable Business Growth’ Programme extends funding to companies affected by the consequences of Covid-19. As for the modification of the Hungarian-Slovak Interreg programme, it allows a temporary increase in the European cofinancing rate to 100% of eligible expenditures to address the lack of liquidity. To date, 18 Member States have taken advantage of the CRII and CRII+ (see EUROPE 12460/3) initiatives to adapt their cohesion policy programmes to respond to the consequences of the pandemic. (PH)
