03/07/2020 (Agence Europe) – According to a European Commission document on the governance of the future ‘Clean Hydrogen Alliance’, consulted by EUROPE on Friday 3 July, the work of this Alliance will be organised around six industrial pillars: (1) hydrogen production; (2) transmission and distribution; (3) mobility applications; (4) industrial applications; (5) the energy sector; and (6) residential applications. These lines of work will be organised by Hydrogen Europe, an organisation representing more than 160 industrial companies, 78 research organisations and 21 national associations active in the field of hydrogen in Europe, with participation open to other stakeholders (Member States, regions, civil society). The Alliance is expected to be launched on Wednesday 8 July, on the occasion of the presentation of the European Union’s strategy on hydrogen (see EUROPE 12511/11) as well as the strategy for the integration of energy sectors (see EUROPE 12520/5). EUROPE will continue to follow this story. (DG)
