Transformation of automotive industry and support for public transport at heart of Karima Delli’s post-Covid-19 priorities

Karima Delli, Chair of the European Parliament’s Transport Committee (TRAN) assured at the beginning of the week - during a debate on the sector’s role in the revival being orchestrated by the European Commission (see EUROPE B12501A8) - that she would be “the spokesperson for the TRAN Committee so that transport is not forgotten”.

Since then, Mrs Delli has taken part in two initiatives aimed at ensuring a way out of the crisis in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal.
