Strong growth of European geothermal energy market continues, says EGEC

European geothermal electricity generation capacity reached 3.3 GWe in 2019, with a total of 130 geothermal power plants in operation across Europe. This represented 5% growth over the previous year, according to a report published on Monday 8 June by theEuropean Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC), an organisation representing the European geothermal industry.
