Joint Council of Europe/EU initiative to help Roma communities tackle Covid-19 pandemic

07/05/2020 (Agence Europe) – At the end of April this year, a joint initiative between the Council of Europe (the ROMACTED programme) and the European Union made a sum of approximately €60,000 available to 1,900 Roma families in 34 localities. The aid enabled parcels and vouchers for basic food items, hygiene kits and “other relevant products” to be distributed.
