Greens/EFA Group in European Parliament questions EIB on its shortcomings in fight against money laundering

Twelve MEPs from the Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament sent a letter to the President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), Werner Hoyer, on Wednesday 6 May about the institution's policy on combating money laundering.

MEPs took this initiative following revelations in the Luxembourg Times at the end of April about an internal audit carried out by the EIB in 2019 which concluded that there were serious shortcomings in the application of EU anti-money laundering standards. The...
