In its latest risk assessment, ECDC warns against a disorganised lifting of restrictive measures

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control published, on Thursday 23 April, its ninth risk assessment on COVID-19, warning against a disorganised relaxation of restrictive measures(see EUROPE B12465A6). The Stockholm-based Agency indicates that the risk of resurgence of sustained community transmission is “moderate” if measures are phased out gradually and accompanied by appropriate monitoring systems and capacity, with the option to reintroduce measures if needed.
