European Commission launches a consultation on ‘sustainable aviation fuels’

The European Commission intends to adopt a proposal for a regulation in the winter of 2020 to “reduce the environmental footprint of the aviation sector by boosting the supply and demand for sustainable aviation fuels in the EU”.

With this in mind, on Wednesday 25 March the institution published a new roadmap and launched a feedback period. Citizens and stakeholders have until 21 April to send their recommendations to the Commission.
