European Parliament Civil Liberties Committee calls on Commission to assess conformity of Hungarian 'state of danger' regime

The chairman of the European Parliament's Civil Liberties Committee (LIBE), Spain's Juan Fernando López Aguilar (S&D), asked the European Commission on Tuesday 24 March to assess the "conformity" of the proposed Hungarian measures with "the fundamental values of the EU", he said in a statement.
