European Commission extends deadline for call for projects aimed at companies likely to speed up fight against COVID-19

18/03/2020 (Agence Europe) – The closing date for the call for projects opened on Friday 13 March by the European Commission within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic (see EUROPE 12447/3) has been postponed. Start-ups and SMEs, which had until Wednesday 18 March to apply, can still do so until Friday 20 March at 5 p.m., again to the Accelerator, one of the funding bodies of the European Innovation Council (EIC). The call is aimed at companies with technologies that could contribute to the monitoring or treatment of the pandemic, which has peaked in Europe; a budget of €164 million has been allocated. (AC)
