05/03/2020 (Agence Europe) – Transport & Environment, an organisation that advocates for clean mobility, presented seven key recommendations for a successful ‘Battery Alliance’ on Monday 2 March. The organisation’s goal is to reach 10 GW/hour production by mid-2020 and double the energy density while cutting costs in half. For the organisation, pilot projects must be systematically in partnership with car manufacturers from the outset. Furthermore, the organisation insists on a clear financing plan for bringing batteries to market over 5 to 7 years and not a system of annual research grants.
