05/03/2020 (Agence Europe) – Insurance Europe, PensionsEurope, EFAMA, AMICE and the European Banking Federation sent a letter to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, on Tuesday 3 March asking her to make the global competitiveness of European businesses a key objective of her policy making. The five financial associations call on the Commission to ensure a level playing field at international level and to work to eliminate the potential for any regulatory arbitrage between Europe and other jurisdictions that could create competitive disadvantages for European companies. They also want the “one in - one out” approach to regulation to be rigorously enforced so as not to further overburden the financial services sector. See the letter: https://bit.ly/39tzdEI (MF)
