17/01/2020 (Agence Europe) – Greek notary Georgios Rouskas took the reins, on Friday 17 January, of the Council of the Notariats of the European Union (CNUE) for the year 2020, succeeding French notary Pierre-Luc Vogel (see EUROPE 12173/26). Mr Rouskas is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Notaries of Athens, Piraeus, the Aegean Sea and the Dodecanese, as well as President of the Coordinating Committee of the Chambers of Notaries of Greece. During his Presidency, he intends to focus on issues relating to company law, the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism, as well as the many challenges related with digitisation, on which the European institutions have already announced their willingness to concentrate their efforts.
