10/01/2020 (Agence Europe) – The Renew Europe group in the European Parliament will present its own vision of a European Pact for Migration and Asylum on Tuesday 14 January in Strasbourg. This initiative will feed into the ongoing reflection process being undertaken by the European Commission, which will unveil its own pact in February or March (see EUROPE 12381/4). A spokesperson for the group said on Friday, 10 January, that the aim of the initiative is to re-establish Europe’s “control” over the migration situation and to avoid repeating the mistakes made during the 2015 crisis.
