Imminent implementation of agreement on Ukrainian poultry

06/12/2019 (Agence Europe) – The EU Council adopted on Thursday 5 December its decision validating the change in trade preferences granted to Ukraine as part of a comprehensive trade agreement between the two parties. Its objective is to correct the misuse of provisions on Ukrainian chicken imports into the EU (see EUROPE 12377/10). The Ukrainian Parliament reportedly validated the agreement on 6 December, according to a Ukrainian media report, which means that its entry into force would be imminent. (HD)
