Jutta Urpilainen wants to architect effective and sustainable partnerships, especially with Africa

A fervent European since she was 19 years old, Finnish social democrat Jutta Urpilainen, Commissioner-designate for International Partnerships, has extensive parliamentary experience in international cooperation and as her country's first female Minister of Finance, an experience she will put in the service of effective partnerships for sustainable and quality development, particularly in Africa.

She confirmed this in her written answers to MEPs ahead of her hearing on Tuesday 1 October.
