27/09/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 27 September, the European Union disclosed the identities of the seven members of the Venezuelan security services who are now subject to a visa ban and assets freeze. In a specific statement, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, points out that European sanctions, which target a total of 25 people close to the Maduro regime, can be lifted if progress is made in respecting the rule of law in Venezuela. Concerned about the suspension of talks between the Maduro regime and the political opposition under the aegis of Norway, she reiterates its call for the resumption of talks leading to the holding of credible presidential elections.
