Committee vice-presidency, new rejection of a Fidesz candidate

22/07/2019 (Agence Europe) – Still no white smoke in the European Parliament's Culture and Education Committee for the identity of the fourth vice-president. On Monday 22 July, the members of this committee once again rejected the candidacy ofFidesz Party MEP Andrea Bocksor (EPP, Hungary). However, they supported Julie Ward (S&D, British) as 3rd Vice-President. Before the vote, Czech EPP MEP Michaela Sojdrova urged her colleagues to postpone the vote until a negotiated solution was found....
