MEP Stéphane Bijoux welcomes renewal of aid to sugar sector in Overseas France

19/07/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 18 July, MEP Stéphane Bijoux (RE, France) welcomed the French government's decision to renew the €38 million aid for the cane and sugar sectors in Réunion and Guadeloupe. The next ‘finance bill’ (2020 budget) will confirm distribution planned at end of sugar quotas: €28 million for Réunion Island and €10 million for Guadeloupe.
