Finland's EU Council Presidency is accelerating work towards agreement in late 2019 on EU budget after 2020

On Thursday 18 July in Brussels, the vast majority of EU European Affairs Ministers welcomed the “ambitious” timetable put forward by the Finnish Presidency of the EU Council to enable Heads of State or Government to finalise an agreement in December 2019 on the EU's multiannual financial framework (MFF) for 2021-2027(see EUROPE B12278A5).
