18/07/2019 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 18 July, the Greek and Slovenian governments announced their candidates for the posts of Commissioners in the future ‘von der Leyen’ Commission that begins on 1 November. For Greece, it is 57-year-old Margaritis Schinas, current Chief Spokesperson for the European Commission, who was a Member of the European Parliament from 2007 to 2009.
